Founder & Producer
Yasmine Alice is the founder and producer of Bastet Productions. She is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. She moved to Brighton, UK in 2008 to attend law school. She graduated from the University of Sussex with a LLB Law with German degree along with a year abroad studying German Law at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonnand completed her Legal Practise Course at the University of Law Bloomsbury. She qualified as a lawyer in the UK and worked as an immigration lawyer for 4 years.
She was scouted online for a TV series in the year 2015 and she decided to quit her job as a lawyer and started working as a news correspondent and assistant producer for TV8 in London. Over the years she has produced, written, and starred in numerous documentaries.
She founded Bastet Productions in 2020 following the success of her very first narrative short, Anxious. Within 1 year, Yasmine has produced, some of which she has written, and sourced funding for 8 short films, 3 of which are still in post-production. Currently, Yasmine is developing her first feature film, Sugar Bill, a crazy western, which has gained the attention of a few executives. Upon completing and releasing one of latest sci-fi short films The Truckman, she will also be pitching it as a tv-series, which is being developed this year.
